Concept(s): Cumulative Songs and Books
* There's a Hole in the Middle of the Sea (for lyrics, click here)
* The Green Grass Grows All Around (for lyrics, click here)
There is also a version of this on pg. 236 of The Kodaly Method I by Lois Choksy
* The Twelve Days of Christmas (for lyrics, click here)
* The Twelve Days of Halloween (for lyrics, click here)
* The Barnyard Song (for lyrics, click here)
There is also a version of this on pg. 225 of The Kodaly Method I by Lois Choksy
* There Was an Old Woman/Lady Who Swallowed a Fly
(Fred Penner has a recording of this, and there is also a book.  I also have the 3 CD set of Music for Children: Orff-Schulwerk, and on this CD the children play a different instrument for each animal - playing it right after their particular animal is sung)

* A Giraffe and a Half, by Shel Silverstein (available at McNally Robinson) - fun book!
* This is the House that Jack Built, by Pam Adams (available at McNally Robinson)
* The Stable that Bob Built, by Cindy Kenney (available at Blessings Christiam Marketplace) - I got this book for Christmas, and it is so cute!  It's a spin-off of This is the House that Jack Built, but it's about the Christmas story.
