Ashley Queen

MUSIC DIRECTOR

Ashley has been a participant (both acting and directing) in all of the 6 CUC musicals preceding this year’s Seussical The Musical.  Other involvement at Charleswood United Church include teaching Sunday School, directing the Youth Choir, acting as interim Senior Choir director, volunteering at Vacation Bible School, and participating in a Habitat Build in the Bahamas in May 2004.  Ashley was a voice major at the School of Music (University of Manitoba) and was the winner of the 2003 Tudor Bowl, the 2003 Gordon Hignell Memorial Trophy and sang in the 2005 Rose Bowl in the Winnipeg Music Festival.  Ashley is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with Bachelor degrees in both Music and Education, specializing in Early/Middle Years Music and Choral Music.  She is currently the Music Specialist at Ecole Morden Middle School in Morden, Manitoba. Ashley would like to thank her CUC family for all the wonderful opportunities they have given her!
